Conducting parenting workshops and seminars; assisting eligible families to access information 

    about financial assistance for child care.

Providing enhanced referral services into inclusionary child care settings for families with children 

    with special care needs.

 

Children First assists providers by

 

Helping new providers set up licensed child care businesses.

Providing training and/or information about training opportunities.

Providing on-going technical assistance and resources.

Supporting all legal forms of child care.

 

Children First assists employers by

 

Providing enhanced resource and referral services for employees of contracted companies and offering workplace

    parent education seminars.

Providing information about work/family issues, and benefit options and current data.

Conducting needs assessments and designing benefit programs.

Assisting in the design of on-site child care centers.

 

Children First assist the community by

Collaborating with a variety of services and organizations that support children and families.

Maintaining a comprehensive database of all legal child care options.

Developing new child resources to meet diverse needs within the community.

Increasing public awareness about child care and related family issues.

 

The quality of child care is directly related to the amount 

of education/training of the child care provider.

 

The cost of a program that will assist employees to find good, affordable

child care is well out weighed by a distinct payoff in staff loyalty, productivity

and profitability.
