ECHO & Child Find for Fremont County:
|
The Family Center Early Childhood Council serves as the advisory Council for Fremont Early Childhood Connections. The Council’s mission is: To develop and coordinate services and support to promote quality early childhood care and education for children six years and under and their families. The Council directly supports the following programs: First Steps, Parents as Teacher Home Visitation; First Steps, Early Childhood Connections; First Steps Early Head Start; Project ECHO Child Identification; Inclusive, community based Preschool Special Education; Denver Child Health Passport; Upper Arkansas Developmental and Evaluation Clinic and the Colorado Preschool Program and the new mental health services Crib to Kindergarten. The Fremont County Consolidated Child Care Pilot and the Early Childhood Mental health Action Teams. Theses Action Teams of the ECHO Council allow agencies and individual working on large multi-year projects to have the ability to make key decisions regarding program development and grant writing to support specific ECHO Council network services. The Action Teams offer some autonomy and ownership to participant while operating under the auspices of the ECHO Council.
